In September 2016, we supported a large multinational engineering firm as they moved to a new purposebuilt facility in Stafford. They wanted a new, modern building with greater accessibility and more modern aesthetics; to enable improved communication both within and between departments. Their brief included requirements for reception areas, meeting facilities, touchdown areas, flexible and smart working spaces, and breakout and training solutions. The company engaged Peter Haddon & Partners as architects to advise them on initial space utilisation of the building.
Our Design Manager Mark Richards worked closely with PHP and the client’s Programme Management team. They devised a layout of space and furniture which incorporated all departmental requirements, but also maximised the flow of space which worked for the organisation as a whole. The overall concept of the space was based on the electronic components which the client manufactures. This included
a modern and vibrant colourscheme, which was reflected in the furniture choices made.
All the way through the process, from initial budget preparation and space planning through to the delivery and installation, Godfrey Syrett worked closely with the client’s in-house Project Management team.
The client is very pleased with their new working environment, and the end result is testament to our close collaboration with both PHP Architects and the client.
