Regent Point, Gosforth

Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Hospitals Trust have moved into the landmark Regent Point building. The 99,899 sq ft Regent Point office building at the Regent Centre in Gosforth will allow the Trust to centralise a number of back-office corporate support departments from various hospital sites and free up space for future clinical redevelopment. This will ensure the Trust will remain one of the leading providers for medical services in the North East of England. Described by the Trust as a first-class asset, it enables the Trust to rationalise infrastructure, improve efficiency and provide a modern working environment for this essential component of their workforce.

We were delighted to be selected to provide furniture for the landmark building. Working closely with Angela O’Connor and Joe Brolly from the Trust’s Supplies Project Team, we were tasked with interpreting their vision for a state of the art open plan working environment, with the added facilities which staff could utilise for both meeting and breakout areas. The end results are fantastic. The open plan working spaces are modern and bright, with a fantastic range of storage solutions and ad hoc meeting spaces at the user’s fingertips.

“May I congratulate you on the recent installation at Regent Point, Gosforth. This has been a complex scheme; you have responded in a professional and very timely manner. You have addressed changes time and again to the product, changes to the size, style and colour of the furniture. You have removed worry and concern from our minds, resulting in a building furnished to a very high standard with very contented staff. You have illustrated great flexibility in responding to our changing needs and have both upheld and enhanced the status and reputation of Godfrey Syrett within the Trust.

This installation has been a great success and I look forward to working with you in the future.”

Joe Brolly, Assistant Supplies Manager
