Salford University Chapman Building

Following just over a year of extensive refurbishment work, the Chapman Building has opened its doors to reveal a complete transformation into a contemporary, hi-tech teaching and learning environment.
The 1960s building has undergone major works creating a modern, open, flexible space reflecting a new style and tone for this iconic building. Inside there are six vibrant lecture theatres equipped with the very latest technology and large screen displays. A series of learning and breakout spaces, plus a restaurant with views across the campus, compliment the more formal spaces.
Godfrey Syrett were invited to tender for this project as we gained our position on the NWUPC framework agreement, for the supply and delivery of furniture.
The regeneration of the Chapman Building is the first phase of the University’s campus plan which aims to revitalise the University. The partnership with both the University of Salford team and the architects allowed Godfrey Syrett to share their vision for this exciting project.
The finished result is a welcoming, vibrant and flexible environment for students and staff alike.
