26th November 2014, 15:57pmGodfrey Syrett has this month appeared in the Tyne North Training Newsletter, following the successful recruitment of 4 manufacturing apprentices.
Early in 2014 we contacted Tyne North Training to assist us in recruiting an apprentice for our manufacturing facility. Tyne North Training Ltd has over 40 years’ experience in helping businesses with workforce development and in helping young people find engineering and manufacturing apprenticeships and careers, throughout the North East of England.
We were looking for staff whose skills could be utilised in many areas ranging from fabrication, woodworking, general assembly, upholstering and powder coating. The quality of candidates who were presented for interview was so high, we decided to recruit two manufacturing apprentices; Michael Egdell and Joseph Gorden.
The success of this apprenticeship programme led us to once again look at the apprenticeship model and Tyne North Training to further strengthen our team. Again after a rigorous recruitment process we have again recruited an additional two apprentices; Dominic Hattan and Ryan Payne.
Kate Illingworth Tyne North Training’s Recruitment Co-ordinator commented “Godfrey Syrett have fully committed to developing their own staff by recruiting apprentices. The training programme that the 4 apprentices are on is giving them the opportunities to showcase their talents in various departments. Already the two apprentices who started earlier this year; Joseph and Michael have established themselves in specific areas of the business, I am confident that the two new apprentices; Dominic and Ryan will do the same”.
