Godfrey Syrett have enjoyed a partnership with the DfT for over seven years, and we were delighted to work alongside their Facilities and Estates Team to discuss their needs for the London Greatminster House project in August 2004.
Increasingly aware of the upcoming DDA regulations and the introduction of flat screen technology, our clients needed a desking system that provided a more flexible working environment for their staff. Our Design Concepts team worked alongside the client to develop an adapted version of our height adjustable Strata range, and provided the DfT with various samples and demonstrations to help them make an informed assessment of our products.
The DfT chose Strata desking with a manual height adjustable set-up, to be complimented by the Eland operator chair, which is especially produced for the DfT . We supplied Strata height adjustable screens, helping to create private working areas.
We worked closely with suppliers of I.T. accessories throughout the project to ensure a seamless process for our client. The installation of all 240 desks, seats and screens was completely quickly and efficiently over only two weekends. The total value of the project was just under £1/4m, and the success of this has led to Godfrey Syrett working with the DfT to provide solutions for numerous other projects.
